Tips and Tricks for the Check-In App
We've included some tips and recommendations below to help you have the best possible experience when using the app at your events.
- Add the app to the home screen of each device in case a user closes the app in error.
- To use the app offline, we recommend installing the app on your device. To install the app on an Android device, select to add the app to your home screen, and you should receive a prompt with the option to install it.
- Turn on your device’s rotation lock to keep the app in portrait mode.
- In order to use different devices to check in different ticket types, complete the setup from the beginning on each device, instead of sharing settings (can still be the same user).
- Inactivity can cause the tablet to lock, and/ or pause the camera. Review with event staff that they may need to unlock (swipe up on the screen) and unpause the camera by clicking the camera box.
- You can check a ticket out if needed. If it’s still in your list, click the box to change from "CheckedIn" back to "Valid." Otherwise, search or scan the ticket again to display it in your list.
